TED LITTLE MEMORIAL EWE COMPETITION

Mat and Korina Aveyard, Plevna West were the winners of the 21st Ted Little Mermorial Ewe Competition in Trundle on the 13th February 2014.

The Plevna West flock had received the encouragement award in 2012.

Mr Colin Seis said, " They are a good lot of sheep that will cut a lot of wool". Mr Ken McCrab commented that the sheep were bred to a nice balance in type.

Catriona Rowntree was the official guest representing AWI, in the Ted Littles 21st Memorial Ewe Competition's celebrations.

Plevna West sheep are on Plevna blood and are classed by Boyd Aveyard

CENTRAL WEST HOGGET EWE COMPETITION

Mat and Korina went on the place second out of 6 flocks from Parkes, Trundle and Condobolin areas,  in the Central West Ewe Competition on the 17th March 2014. Judge Cam Munro commented on the even type and high flock fertility, and the fact that they will cut plenty of high quality wool, not compromising fleece weight for lambing percentages.

A well deserved result. Congratulations Mat and Korina.
